    Our Clean Air Defense Air Cleaners use electronic polarized-media technology for maximum air cleaning capability. Active electronic, polarized-media air cleaners use a safe, 24 volt current to establish a polarized electric field. Airborne particles pass through the field and adhere to the media where they are captured and removed from your air space.

    The air cleaner's efficiency increases as it loads, providing exceptionally high efficiency with air resistance much lower than normal passive filters. Our Air Cleaners capture the smallest sub-micron particles in addition to airborne pathogens and VOC's and capture 97% of particles at .3 microns and continue trapping particles much smaller in size. And electronic polarized-media technology is non-ionizing which means it is safe to operate and easy to maintain.

    The Clean Air Defense System Germicidal UVC Lamp is a high-output germicidal lamp that harnesses the energy of the sun's UVC rays to disrupt the DNA of living viruses, bacteria and other living airborne organisms so they can no longer reproduce.

    Germicidal UVC is effective against viruses, bacteria, molds and mold spores, pollen, and other pathogens. Our Germicidal UVC Lamp mounts in the ductwork or plenum to provide maximum whole-house efficiency.

    The Clean Air Defense System Oxidizing UVC System is a dual wavelength UVC/UVV system that harnesses the energy or the sun's UVC and UVV rays to control germs and gases. It is capable of superior odor control with the patented and adjustable UVV lamp chamber. The powerful UVC lamp kills and sterilizes germs while the photochemical reaction that takes place with the UVV lamp controls gases and odors in the home.

    With today’s tight building construction, the air inside our homes becomes “stale” in that it is constantly re-circulated. This is great for energy savings but not so good for our health. That’s because things like airborne particles, viruses, bacteria, and off-gases from household materials and cleaners get circulated throughout our home by the air conditioner or furnace that moves over 1 million cubic of air a day throughout your home.

    That means that we are breathing all of this in… unless it can be trapped and removed from the air.

How we improve the quality of your indoor air with “Smart AirSpace Technology”

The Clean Air Defense System is designed to provide safe, reliable, and affordable high-efficiency air cleaning products for today’s tight building construction. We focus on trapping and eliminating the danger before it becomes a problem for you and your family with our three Lines of Defense.

Our Air Cleaners use electronic polarized-media technology to provide maximum air cleaning while installing quickly into the existing filter tracks of your central heating and cooling system. This technology combines a safe, magnetic field to attract particles like a magnet collecting paper clips.  Then it has enough voltage to stick these smallest of sub-micron particles to the replaceable media for optimum particle control.  Its carbon center cell is ideal for removing some odors and roughly 40% of the volatile organic compounds (VOCs). 

AirRanger Air Cleaners trap 97% of particles at .3 microns and continue trapping particles much smaller in size.  For reference, the eye of a needle is approximately 1,230 microns in diameter. Unlike passive mechanical filters where the size of small holes in the material determines the size of particles that can be captured, electronic polarized media employ the principal of agglomeration to join polarized sub-micron particles and VOC’s to each other as they pass through the central heating and cooling system.  As the particles get larger during subsequent passes, they collect on the air cleaner’s disposable replacement media pads.  In a short period of time, even the smallest particles --- those we breathe --- are removed from the air.

Dangers of Indoor Air

For over 4 decades we have been tightening up our homes to make them more energy efficient. This has caused indoor air pollution to rise to levels that the Environmental Protection Agency states is two to 10 times higher than the outside air. The considerable rise in the occurrence of allergic reactions, asthma attacks and other common ailments caused by this increased level of indoor air means the problem is real and only getting worse.

What causes this "indoor pollution"?

There are many sources of indoor air pollution in any home. These include combustion sources such as oil, gas, kerosene, coal, wood, and tobacco products; building materials and furnishings, asbestos-containing insulation, wet or damp carpet, and cabinetry or furniture made of certain pressed wood products; products for household cleaning and maintenance, personal care, or hobbies; central heating and cooling systems and humidification devices; and outdoor sources such as radon, pesticides, and outdoor air pollution.
